What is Youth Apprenticeship?
Youth Apprenticeship (YA) integrates school-based and work-based learning to instruct students in employability and occupational skills defined by Wisconsin industries.
Local programs facilitate employment opportunities based on statewide Youth Apprenticeship curriculum guidelines, endorsed by business and industry.
Students are simultaneously enrolled in related curriculum and are employed by a participating employer under the supervision of a skilled

gives students a chance to discover things they can't learn in a classroom. YA provides student the opportunity to get inside information about the career their interested in, or simply get a taste of what it's really like on the job.
CTE Courses gives high school students the chance to get a head start on preparing for college and careers. CTE programs also apply the core concepts subjects like math, science and writing are to real-life situations. Students may even be able to earn college credit!
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are key components to strong CTE programs. They allow students to extend learning through innovative programs, business and community partnerships and leadership experiences at the school, state and national levels.
